A little bit about Muslim Outrage

Muslims are outraged about a cartoon depicting their prophet Mohammad. Let's review here....

Muslims fly commercial airliners into buildings in New York City. No Muslim outrage.
Muslim officials block the exit where school girls are trying to escape a burning building because their faces were exposed. No Muslim outrage there.
Muslims cut off the heads of three teenaged girls on their way to school in Indonesia. A Christian school. No Muslim outrage there either.
Muslims murder teachers trying to teach Muslim children in Iraq. No Muslim outrage here at all.
Muslims murder over 80 tourists with car bombs outside cafes and hotels in Egypt. No Muslim outrage yet.
A Muslim attacks a missionary children's school in India. Kills six. No Muslim outrage over here.
Muslims slaughter hundreds of children and teachers in Beslan, Russia. Muslims shoot children in the back. No Muslim outrage, but maybe it's coming.
Let's go way back. Muslims kidnap and kill athletes at the Munich Summer Olympics. No Muslim outrage but great movie script some say.
Muslims fire rocket-propelled grenades into schools full of children in Israel. No Muslim outrage, nope.
Muslims murder more than 50 commuters in attacks on London subways and busses. Over 700 are injured. No Muslim outrage even if some of them showed up late for work those days.
Muslims massacre dozens of innocents at a Passover Seder. No Muslim outrage.
Muslims murder innocent vacationers in Bali. No Muslim outrage.
Muslim newspapers publish anti-Semitic cartoons. No Muslim outrage
Muslims are involved, on one side or the other, in almost every one of the 125+ shooting wars around the world. No Muslim outrage.
Muslims beat the charred bodies of Western civilians with their shoes, then hang them from a bridge. No Muslim outrage.
Newspapers in Denmark and Norway publish cartoons depicting Mohammed.
NOW, Muslims are outraged.

Question: When are the "moderate" peaceful Muslims going to, in one large voice, speak out agianst these animals? And why hasn't it happened? Make me wonder....

The Democrats do it again....

Remember Wellstone? Yeah, you know Senator Wellstone from Minnesota? He died in a horrible plane crash and the Democrats turned his memorial service into something of a political rally. It was blatant, tacky not to mention shameful. So then I figured that maybe that was just bad taste and it got a little out of hand, mob rule and all. Ok. I can forgive that one time, I guess.

Well it's happened again.

At Coretta Scott King's funeral we see the same attempt to use what is supposed to be a momentous occasion to celebrate the life of a civil rights leader and wife of another slain civil rights leader turn into a political rally. Shameful. With everything that I think I know about liberals and Democrats you would think that it would come as a surprise to me. Boy was I wrong. How anyone could turn a funeral into anything political is beyond me. I am at a loss for words. The liberal Democrats have really shown their contempt for any shred of dignity left in their party. They have shown me how low they will sink to use the funeral of this woman to make a political statement. How low does someone have to sink to have to use the casket of a dead woman for a soapbox to shout out their political ideations? Worst of all in a church!

The most amazing part of this disgusting display of false faith was the words of the "reverends" who spoke and the words of an ex-President. It was disgraceful at the very least. To use a church pulpit at a funeral to blast the President not only shows a lack of decorum but the sheer desperation from the left to take any opportunity, any opportunity, to make their ridiculous statements. So what's left?

Will they now apologize? Probably not. But imagine if the Republicans did this at her funeral? Imagine, if you will, if George Bush took the pulpit and reminded the congregation how it was the Republicans in Congress that passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 against the efforts of Southern Democrats? Or maybe that it was a Republican that made slavery illegal after a bloody civil war? Or that the Bush administration has put more blacks in positions of importance than any other President in history? Or that under his administration home ownership by black Americans is at an all-time high? Or that it was a Kennedy who wire-tapped Dr. King's phone conversations without a warrant in order to discredit him? Or that the Republican Party was founded in 1854 for the express purpose of ending slavery and that the Democratic Party, by contrast, defended it to the bitter end? Or how about when Sen. Charles Sumner, Republican of Massachusetts after giving a speech denouncing slavery in 1856, was viciously beaten by Rep. Preston Brooks, Democrat of South Carolina, for daring to question the right to own slaves? Brooks waited until the elderly Sumner was seated alone at his desk in the Senate and, without warning, struck him repeatedly with a cane taking months for Sumner to recover! Or how throughout his presidency, FDR resisted Republican efforts to pass a federal law against lynching, and he opposed integration of the armed forces? Or how Ku Klux Klan member, Sen. Robert C. Byrd, Democrat of West Virginia, personally filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964 for 14 straight hours to keep it from passage? Why he would be a racist! It would be considered in poor taste. Why he would be called a white devil or something to that effect. Never mind that it's true. Never mind that what these clowns were saying was completely off-base. No. Even Bush is not stupid enough to tell the truth in church.

Maybe we can learn from the legacy of Dr. King from his many quotes:

Like an unchecked cancer, hate corrodes the personality and eats away its vital unity. Hate destroys a man's sense of values and his objectivity. It causes him to describe the beautiful as ugly and the ugly as beautiful, and to confuse the true with the false and the false with the true.

Martin Luther King Jr.

I submit to you that if a man hasn't discovered something he will die for, he isn't fit to live.

Martin Luther King Jr., Speech in Detroit, June 23, 1963

Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.

Martin Luther King Jr., Strength to Love, 1963

May God bless and keep Mrs. Coretta Scott King's soul. From a grateful nation we thank her deeply and hope her memory hasn't been tarnished by the acts of the few misguided fools.

A Real Plan...

Recently I was given a response regarding a sevenpoint plan that was supposed to be an original plan for peace in Iraq. I doubted seriously the "originality" of such plan as it only summarized the old rehashed liberal mantra being pumped out there for years now. Here is a plan I found and will be honest enough to say it was not mine but I liked it. And here it is:

Here's the plan:

1) The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past & present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini and the rest of them 'good old boys'. We will never "interfere" again.

2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No more sneaking through holes in the fence.

3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of who or where they are. France would welcome them.

4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit. No one from a terrorist nation would be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself, don't hide here. Asylum would not ever be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers.

5) No "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home baby.

6) The US will make a strong effort to become self sufficient energy wise. This will include developing non polluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.

7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else.

8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere". They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides' most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if any anyway.

9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an island some place. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, it would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

9b) Use the buildings as replacement for the twin towers.

10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer.

Now, ain't that a winner of a plan.

Originally attributed to Robin Williams, it is an urban legend, but the thoughts are still worthy of pondering. I say we give it a shot.

The State of the Union the left heard...

I don't like to repost pieces written by others but this is classic. This is the work of Larry Elder, a great American indeed. This is the State of the Union speech the left heard.

My fellow Americans, I am evil.

I only care about rich people, and rich people only care about other rich people -- unless, of course, your name is Kennedy. In fact, it is misleading to say that I only care about the rich. I truly only care about Republican, white, Christian males who are rich.

I would say that I am truly the president of Halliburton, except I'm having the darndest time spelling the word "Halliburton." I'm corrupt, incompetent and racist. Oh, sure, in order to help deal with the problem of illegal aliens, I have offered a guest worker program, but "guest worker program" spelled backwards means "shoot to kill." Or at least I think it does.

The black Democratic congressman from New York, Charlie Rangel, nailed it when he called me "our Bull Connor." Donna Brazile, the black lady who ran the presidential campaign for Al Gore, also got it right. I am the titular head of the Republican Party, the party of the "white boys."

I stole the election in 2000. I conspired with the governor of Florida to steal votes. The governor of Florida just happens to be my brother. I stole the election in Ohio in 2004 by conspiring with my buddies at Diebold, who make the voting machines, which they rigged in my favor. When you think about it, those white boys at Diebold, well, they're my brothers, too.

Minister Louis Farrakhan of the Nation is Islam is right. I ordered the Army Corps of Engineers to blow up the levee in New Orleans in order to flood and kill black people. Oh, sure, we snagged a lot of whites -- that's why they came up with the term "collateral damage."

I'm pretty stupid. Martin Sheen, the man who played a real president on "West Wing," got it right -- I am a "moron." Aaron McGruder, who illustrates the comic strip "The Boondocks," also got it right when he called me "functionally illiterate." Maybe someday I'll wake up from this dream in which I make an SAT verbal score higher than Rhodes Scholar Bill Bradley, get better college grades than Al Gore, graduate from Yale, and get an MBA from Harvard.

I've been a lousy economic steward. I came into office with an economy headed towards recession, and shortly thereafter we endured the 9/11 terrorist attacks. We then invaded two countries, Iraq and Afghanistan. And, most recently, our economy endured hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Since I've been in office, our productivity growth has averaged over 3.5 percent per year, with inflation remaining low. Unemployment stands at 4.9 percent, 400,000 new jobs were created in the last two months, and homeownership is at an all-time high. But, I agree with nearly half of Americans who believe we are already in a recession. And I expect to go down in history -- as I should -- as presiding over the worst economy since Herbert Hoover.

I agree with Harry Belafonte and Cindy Sheehan that I am the world's greatest terrorist. I'd have to go some to emulate my idols -- Joe, Mao and Adolf -- but a fella's gotta start somewhere.

Sen. Ted Kennedy is right. I lied us into the war. Repeatedly. I intentionally sent men and women in harm's way, so that I could be a wartime president, because -- unlike Michael Dukakis -- I sure look spiffy in a flight suit. As Sen. John Kerry puts it, our military terrorizes Iraqi civilians. Meanwhile, I should tell you the real reasons for going into the war: to steer defense contracts to my buddies; to get the SOBs who tried to kill my daddy; to engage in torture; to find a justification to spy on American citizens who have no connection to terrorism whatsoever; and to send soldiers into the field with no body armor and no exit strategy.

How our military managed to topple two governments and free 55 million people just beats the dickens out of me. How Iraq and Afghanistan managed to hold free elections -- well, that's a head-scratcher. And how about that Oxford Research International poll showing almost 71 percent of Iraqis say their own life is "good"? Boy, I could use numbers like that. And even though I'm a warmonger, polls show support for terrorism is falling in the Arab world.

Yep, I not only lied, I got the British to lie. I also got the worldwide intelligence community -- the United Nations, the French, the Germans, the Egyptians, the Jordanians, and the Russians -- all to deceive the world by agreeing that Saddam possessed WMD. And who says I can't bring the world together?

I would recommend impeachment, but then you'd just get Cheney. I would go to my White House bedroom and kill myself, but then you'd just get Cheney. Oh, if only I hadn't been born. But then, as my daddy used to say, if a dog's butt were square, he'd poop bricks.

Thank you, and God bless.

Thank you, Flight 93

Last night I was riveted to a special A&E movie about Flight 93. I have seen many shows and documentaries about that day and while many of them moved me none of them moved me to tears as this movie did. Maybe it was because I still am angry about that day. Maybe it's because I am still frustrated that we still have this threat over our heads. Maybe I am still upset with the images that still haunt me today. Whatever the reason, the story is still makes me mad as hell and sad at the same time.

The movie was very well made. I believe that the movie was very telling of the true emotions of both the passengers on that flight and of the families that had the opportunity to hear their loved one's last goodbyes. It did not portray the passengers as "superheros" or "scared witless" but what they really were, Americans in a bad situation and not willing to die without a fight.

This movie really shook me. After seeing the events of this day you have to ask yourself what else can we do to convince those that wish to appease terrorists that they simply cannot continue to do so? Do we need to have another 9/11? I pray to God we don't but I am afraid it's what's cooking right now. Never in our history have we seen so much at stake. It's serious business.

Personally I believe that we need to, somehow, memorialize the acts of the some of the bravest American citizens ever born. In my opinion these passengers were the first soldiers in the War on Terror, drafted to service like the Minute Man of centuries past and bravely taking on the enemy saving hundreds of people. I believe that we need a National Holiday just for these passengers.

Never should we ever forget the great acts of a few Americans and the many lives they have affected. May God bless them and their family.

Vive La France!

This week France's President Jacques Chirac let the world know that any country that effects a terror attack on France may get nuked! France is also finally on board with the US and other countries with regards to the possiblity of a nuclear Iran. I really can't believe it! France is ready to start kicking ass again. Some reports are even touting France's possibilty of aligning itself with the US to pressure the UN to take action. I can't believe it. I think France is serious this time!

But why now? Why not in Iraq? Maybe it was because of the money they stood to lose in the Oil-For-Food pyramid scheme they had going on and maybe it was because France just felt a need to exert some sort of authority to remind the world of their yester-years of when they actually scared someone somewhere with their French-ness.

Who cares!

I will admit that I have had an extreme dislike for everything French (except french fries, french toast, and croissants) since their actions or inactions with regards to Iraq but you know what? Who cares! France is ready to start kicking ass again! It's refreshing to see the France of years before, you know like when they were invaded by the Germans and they fought so bravely against them, wait, bad example! Or maybe the France that was ready to remove Hussein, wait, sorry again. Well who cares dammit! You know why? Because France is ready to start kicking ass again!

So folks let's let bygones be bygones. Everyone drops the ball from time to time and France should be forgiven. You know why? That's right, because

France is ready to start kicking ass again!

Don't worry about Iran, the UN will take of this!

Today Iran was one of the topics between our President and the Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel. They both agree that Iran's refusal to leave the nuclear bomb-making, I mean the peaceful production of nuclear energy, will require that the UN should take charge and fix this looming problem. Whew! For a moment there I was worried that....

What the hell??????

Who's kidding who here? Iran is not in the business of producing anything that isn't towards the destruction of Israel and her allies. Iran has recently stated that not only have they removed the seals from their facilities but they will block the UN from inspecting their facilities. Sound familiar? They have no reason to believe that the UN will do anything but resolve to make a resolution about resolving nothing.

Who knew that when the President named the countries in the "Axis of Evil" speech that he was going to be so on the mark? The liberals shrieked much in the same the liberals did when Reagan called the Soviet Union "...the evil empire..." but they were both right. Liberals still give Gorbachev the credit for the fall of the Soviet Union but the truth is that Reagan was the one who did it.

Now the UN will have to take action.

(insert sound of chirping crickets here)

So what will the UN do? I will predict nothing. It will inevitably end up on the plates of the US and hopefully Israel. Will Germany stand by her ally or run for their bank account books like they did with regards to Iraq? Is Bush going to have to make the UN put up or shut up again? What will our liberal citizens have to say when Iran tests its first nuclear weapon?

I wonder if Neville Chamberlain could come out of the grave and explain the dangers of appeasing a crazed dictator to the newest incarnation of the League of Nations.

Why we need a real Supreme Court.

As I watch the proceedings going on during the confirmation hearings of Judge Alito several things come to mind. Most prominently is the confirmation of my belief that the Democratic Party has completely self-imploded. Their behavior is nothing short of disrespectful and very much in line with their duplicitous beliefs. The fact that Kennedy can say half of the things he said is hilarity at its best.

But another more important realization is this one: We need more judges like Alito. We need to have judges who will abandon their core politics and simply judge. We need a strict interpreter of the Constitution. I would love to have a judge that will reverse Roe vs. Wade but judge Alito, unfortunately will keep an open mind and most likely will not reverse that decision. Recently we had a ruling from the more liberal members of the Supreme court that has had a profound effect on all Americans. Kelo vs. New London has recently proven to me why we need to have a more strict interpretation of the Constitution.

The liberal judges have decided that your home is open season to be snatched away and given to a private developer so that the government can raise more taxes. Is there anything in that ruling that doesn't screw over the homeowner? This means that if WalMart decided to take your home so that they could build in your living room it would be okay. In a way the liberals have screwed over the "little guy" they always claim to be looking out for to benefit the "evil corporate imperialists" they claim to hate so much!

Liberalism is duplicity.

This ruling is a vivid example of why we need to reign in these activist judges and keep them from giving away the things we work so hard for. As a part-time Realtor it appalls me to see how government is now able to seize your property for a purpose no better than to raise more tax revenue. You see, Americans are viscerally opposed to paying more taxes and so the only way that government can raise taxes is to steal your home and give it away to a corporate interest who will play ball with the government in the form of paying higher taxes.

This ruling is nothing more than the government redistributing your wealth to corporate interests. It is nothing better than a form of communism. It is what the liberals in this country have always said they are against. This is the problem with a mostly liberally-leaning Supreme Court. In some countries it might even be the spark for revolution. Thankfully we are better than that.

This ruling, if not changed or somehow overturned, will shake the foundation of the American home buyer and like-minded investors. Why would someone buy a home now with the hidden fear of having it taken away from them so that a company like Pfizer can build a plant? It's not right. Everyone, regardless of their political affiliation, should be angry.

I am a capitalist and this makes me mad.....
